Brescia recognizes 104 new historical and traditional businesses

Twenty-four businesses from the Franciacorta and Sebino areas have been officially recognized as ‘Attività Storiche e di Tradizione’ (Historical and Traditional Activities) by the Lombardy Region. These businesses are part of a larger group of 104 new entries in the province of Brescia recognized this year.

The awards, presented on September 16, 2026, at the Brescia Chamber of Commerce, honor shops, local establishments, and artisan workshops that can document at least forty years of continuous operation. The recognition highlights the ability of these entities to maintain community ties despite market transformations.

In the Franciacorta and Sebino area, the new entries span seven municipalities: Coccaglio, Gussago, Iseo, Paderno Franciacorta, Palazzolo sull’Oglio, Rodengo Saiano, and Rovato. Coccaglio recorded the highest number of new recognitions with 11 businesses.

With these latest additions, the total number of recognized historical activities in the province of Brescia has reached 791, while the regional register for Lombardy now includes 4,943 enterprises.
