Brescia region initiatives promote local history and heritage

Local administrators and cultural organizations in the Brescia region are organizing initiatives to promote regional heritage. In the Colli dei Longobardi area, a meeting was held at the Peri-Bigogno winery to plan activities for the association’s 25th anniversary. The project aims to highlight local enogastronomic excellence, historical sites, and cultural landscapes through participatory planning.

In Brescia, the Fondazione Ds is hosting a cultural event featuring three authors presenting books that explore the province’s history. The presentations cover the journey of the Bontempelli brothers from Val Sabbia to Venice, the industrial and hydraulic history of Bedizzole and the Chiese river, and the evolution of culinary traditions and festivities in Brescia.
