Brest city center parking garage to open in September

The Les Glacis city center parking garage in Brest is scheduled to open in September 2026. The project, which cost 7.30 million euros, faced delays due to inclement weather.

The five-level aerial parking facility will provide 215 car spaces, including 45 electric vehicle charging stations. It also features dedicated space for various types of bicycles, including 44 spots for standard bikes, 36 for classic bikes, and 8 for cargo bikes. The structure will include environmental features such as a green roof and a rain garden.

Magali Rousseau, director of Brest’Park, noted that the facility will serve as a waiting area for commuters, such as those using carpooling services. Current subscription availability is limited as the facility is intended to help relocate users from the Saint-Louis parking area, which is slated for renovation starting in October.
