Brest defeats Angers 5-1 to end losing streak
Brest ended a two-match losing streak in Ligue 1 with a 5-1 victory over Angers at Stade Francis-Le Ble. The match was largely decided in the first half, with Brest scoring four goals before the break through Ludovic Ajorque, Lucas Tousart, Kenny Lala, and Mama Balde.
Pathe Mboup added a fifth goal in the 54th minute to complete the scoring. Angers managed a single goal via Prosper Peter shortly after the restart, but the match was effectively settled following a red card for Angers midfielder Jordan Lefort. Statistics showed Brest dominated the encounter with 19 shots and a 64 percent success rate in aerial duels.
Following this performance, Brest moved up to seventh place in the league standings. They are scheduled to face Lille in their next match, where they will look to avoid successive away defeats.
