Cultural events and local initiatives announced across France

Various cultural and local community events are scheduled across France and internationally. In Toulouse, the Jardin de l’Arquebuse will host ‘Arbres, une exploration vivante’ from September 19 to November 22, 2026. Designed by the Muséum d’Histoire naturelle de Toulouse, this immersive exhibition aims to educate the public on the vital role of trees and biodiversity through interactive displays and workshops.

Other notable cultural activities include the 57th Rencontres d'Arles photography festival, which explores the history and evolution of the medium through 47 exhibitions, and the 10th edition of ‘Les Arts en Balade’ in Toulouse, which opens artist studios to the public. In Marseille, the Art-O-Rama fair showcases contemporary art from nearly 40 international galleries.

Local community updates include the return of the weekly market in Clion-sur-Mer starting September 4, and the reopening of the Espace Camille Flammarion in Pornichet for various socioculture activities. Additionally, the Kimbell Art Museum in Texas has issued an open call for analog photographers to participate in a showcase in December 2026.
