Bresuano MA Basic School faces severe educational crisis in Ghana
Students at Bresuano MA Basic School in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality of Ghana’s Bono East Region are facing severe educational challenges following the destruction of their school block by torrential rains. The loss of the roof rendered the original structure unusable, forcing pupils from kindergarten through Primary 6 into three makeshift learning spaces.
The school is currently operating with only two teachers to manage the entire student population. This requires individual teachers to oversee up to four different grade levels simultaneously within a single space. One teacher, Maglos George Witta, reported that the environment makes it difficult for students to concentrate and prevents the full syllabus from being covered, highlighting significant educational inequality between rural and urban schools.
