Bret Michaels Hospitalized After Kidney Stone Surgery Following Painful Concerts

Poison frontman Bret Michaels revealed that he performed three shows – in Charleston, West Virginia; Grantville, Pennsylvania; and a private concert for veterans at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington – while suffering from an intense kidney‑stone pain that lasted about a week. The pain became unmanageable the day after the Spokane performance, and he was admitted to a hospital where doctors performed emergency surgery to remove the stone.

Michaels posted that the operation is complete and he is out of the immediate postoperative recovery phase, thanking the doctors, nurses and frontline workers who treated him. He said he is focusing on regaining full health before returning to the stage and expressed gratitude for the support of family, friends and fans.
