Bret Michaels Undergoes Emergency Kidney Stone Surgery After Touring

Poison front‑man Bret Michaels revealed he performed three consecutive shows despite severe pain from a kidney stone before being admitted for emergency surgery. The concerts took place in Charleston, West Virginia; Grantville, Pennsylvania; and a private event at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington for veterans and active‑duty service members.

Michaels announced on social media that doctors successfully removed the stone after he could no longer tolerate the pain. He thanked the medical staff and expressed gratitude for family, friends and fans, noting he is now out of post‑operative recovery and intends to resume his Live And Amplified tour, with upcoming dates in Michigan and Illinois.

The singer’s next engagements include a private show on July 25 and further tour stops through September, as he works toward a full return to performing.
