In Germany, a fatal collision occurred on the L3025 in Glashütten between a BMW and a Nissan. A 17-year-old passenger in the BMW died at the scene, while several others sustained injuries. In another incident in Oberkirch, a 16-year-old tractor driver was blinded by the sun, causing the vehicle to overturn; the driver sustained minor injuries. Additionally, a motorcyclist was seriously injured after veering off the B242 near Braunlage.

In Switzerland, two drivers in the Aargau region, one 55-year-old and one 40-year-old, collided with road barriers in separate incidents. Both drivers were found to be heavily intoxicated, resulting in the immediate seizure of their driver's licenses and pending legal action.
