BRI expands financial literacy and inclusion via BRILink agents
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) is intensifying efforts to improve financial literacy and inclusion across Indonesia. During the Lampung Financial Festival 2026, BRI Director of Finance & Strategy Achmad Royadi emphasized the importance of teaching young people financial discipline, knowledge, and a growth mindset to manage income effectively amidst digital transaction ease.
To support widespread access, BRI has expanded its BRILink agent network to 1.06 million agents, reaching over 60,000 villages, which covers approximately 80% of Indonesian villages. As of late September 2026, this network facilitated roughly 750 million transactions with a sales volume of Rp1,270 trillion. These agents provide essential services in remote areas, including bill payments, micro-insurance, savings account referrals, and cash withdrawals.
