BRI named Indonesia Sports Industry of the Year 2026

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has received the ‘Indonesia Sports Industry of the Year 2026’ award at the Indonesia Sports Summit 2026. The award was presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Erick Thohir, and accepted by BRI President Director Hery Gunardi.

The award recognizes the company’s dedication and contribution to the advancement of Indonesian sports. BRI has maintained a long-term commitment to the national sports ecosystem, notably through its role as the primary sponsor of the BRI Super League, Indonesia’s top-tier football competition. This marks the sixth consecutive year of support for the league since 2021, with sponsorship continuing into the 2026/2027 season.

Hery Gunardi stated that the bank’s involvement aims to build a sustainable sports ecosystem that generates both economic and social benefits for the community, including supporting MSMEs in sectors such as culinary and trade related to sporting events.
