BRI provides water pumps to combat forest fires in Kalimantan

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has distributed 270 water pump units through its BRI Peduli social and environmental responsibility program to support forest and land fire (karhutla) prevention in West Kalimantan. The aid targets Landak and Sanggau Regencies.

In addition to the pumps, the assistance includes firefighting equipment such as nozzles, water hoses, and five-meter suction hoses. The initiative aims to address geographical challenges in the region, including difficult vehicle access to fire points and limited water sources. Local military officials noted that the portable nature of the pumps will assist personnel in responding quickly to fire outbreaks.
