Brian Hyland to perform at Downing Street for NHS diagnosis campaign
American musician Brian Hyland will perform his 1960 hit ‘Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini’ at 10 Downing Street on August 22. The performance is part of a campaign to advocate for improved NHS diagnoses.
Hyland will join 27-year-old campaigner Ashleigh Harley to raise awareness regarding the difficulties young people face when seeking diagnoses for complex conditions. Harley’s involvement stems from her own experience of living with undiagnosed illness for over a decade, during which she suffered from daily seizures and paralysis before receiving a diagnosis through her mother’s research.
The campaign aims to highlight the risks of delayed medical identification and improve long-term outcomes for patients facing similar struggles within the healthcare system.
