Brian Johnson avoids injury as cannon malfunctions during AC/DC Las Vegas show

On August 1, a replica Civil War‑era cannon used as a stage prop at AC/DC’s concert in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium malfunctioned. The prop slammed down, sending a projectile that landed just inches from frontman Brian Johnson during the intro to “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You).”

Johnson was momentarily shocked but suffered no injuries, briefly paused, then resumed the performance. The incident caused no further disruption to the show.

The concert was part of the band’s Power Up tour, which began in 2024 and is currently on its North American leg that started on July 11 and is scheduled to conclude on September 29 in Philadelphia.
