Brian “Road Dogg” James' TNA Creative Deal Stalls

Negotiations for WWE Hall of Famer Brian “Road Dogg” James to join TNA Wrestling’s creative team have stalled, with no contract signed and no indication the deal is near completion. James, who left WWE in March after serving as SmackDown co‑head writer, was seen backstage at TNA’s Slammiversary event in Boston on June 28, helping produce matches, but he did not appear on subsequent television tapings.

The current TNA creative department is led by former ROH booker Hunter Johnston (known as Delirious) and Eric Tompkins, the company’s Vice President of Television Production and Executive Creative Director. Tommy Dreamer, who previously headed the creative team, departed shortly before Slammiversary. TNA is preparing for upcoming pay‑per‑view events, including Lockdown in Chicago and Bound for Glory in Tampa.

No public statements have been made by James or TNA regarding the stalled talks.
