Brian Rodríguez discusses future with Club América and interest in Tigres

Uruguayan forward Brian Rodríguez has addressed his future with Club América following the announcement of his contract extension through 2030. During an interview on the podcast ‘Sabor a Fútbol’, Rodríguez described playing for América as a ‘privilege’ and expressed his desire to remain with the club.

When discussing potential future moves, Rodríguez noted that he would not rule out playing for Tigres due to the club’s stadium atmosphere and his personal friendships with players such as Rodrigo Aguirre, Fernando Gorriarán, and Emiliano Gómez. He clarified that any move would only be considered if he were no longer part of the América squad, stating, ‘One never knows. Life… if tomorrow América does not want me, what am I going to do? I am going to play for another team.’
