Brian To'o signs three-year deal with PNG Chiefs

Brian To'o, a four-time premiership-winning winger for the Penrith Panthers, has signed a three-year deal to join the PNG Chiefs. To'o will remain with the Panthers until the conclusion of the 2027 NRL season.

The expansion franchise, the PNG Chiefs, is scheduled to enter the NRL in 2028. To'o's move to Port Moresby will see him reunite with teammate Jarome Luai, who has already signed with the club. Other recruits mentioned for the Chiefs' inaugural roster include Connor Watson, Alex Johnston, Zac Lomax, and Matty Lees.

PNG Chiefs CEO Lorna McPherson noted that the signing is significant for the Pacific rugby league community, emphasizing that the club intends to build a strong Pacific identity. Penrith Panthers executives expressed respect for To'o's decision, noting that his departure will assist the club in managing its salary cap while attempting to retain other key players like Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo.
