Brian Uriarte emerges as rising star in Moto3

Moto3 rookie Brian Uriarte is emerging as a significant prospect in the championship. Riding for Red Bull KTM Ajo, Uriarte secured two victories this season at Mugello and Sachsenring. Although he held second place in the standings prior to the summer break, a crash at Silverstone caused him to drop to fourth.

Uriarte’s background is rooted in motocross in Cantabria, Spain, where he trained on sand tracks created from mining waste. He noted that his career path toward asphalt racing was influenced by a suggestion from a family friend when he was 10 years old. Before his Moto3 debut, he achieved the rare feat of winning both the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Junior GP in the same season.
