Brianza community mobilizes to fund new mammograph for San Gerardo hospital

In the Brianza region of Italy, a community mobilization is underway to fundraise for a new high-tech mammography machine for the IRCCS San Gerardo hospital in Monza. The initiative, led by the association PerLe Noi and supported by #EasyMonza, aims to collect 180,000 euros.

The requested equipment is a Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) machine, which allows for guided CEM biopsies. This technology is designed to detect micro-lesions that may be difficult to identify through traditional exams, thereby increasing diagnostic accuracy and reducing the time required to reach a certain diagnosis.

To date, 20 collection points have been established across the territory, allowing local businesses to host donation boxes. Contributions can also be made online via GoFundMe.
