Bribon and One win Trofeo Xacobeo sailing trophies in Sanxenxo

The boats ‘Bribon’ and ‘One’ secured victories at the Trofeo Xacobeo in Sanxenxo, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo in the Ría de Pontevedra. The competition was part of the sixth series of the 6 Metros and J/80 Leagues.

In the 6 Metros class, the ‘Bribon’, skippered by Jane Abascal, achieved a comeback victory. After trailing ‘Titia’ (Mauricio Sánchez-Bella) following Saturday's races, ‘Bribon’ won the final decisive race to secure the trophy by two points. The team, which includes King Juan Carlos, noted that the strong northeast winds provided good preparation for the upcoming world title defense in Helsinki.

In the J/80 class, the ‘One’, skippered by Adrián Domínguez, won through consistent performance throughout the weekend. The podium was completed by ‘I3D Atlántico’ (Guillermo Blanco) in second place and ‘Cactus Digital-Petrilla’ (Jaime Barreiro) in third.
