Bridge Club Montcellien celebrates 50th anniversary

The Bridge Club Montcellien celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Magny community hall. The event brought members together for a meal to commemorate the club's history since its founding on September 16, 1976.

During the celebration, President Gérard Boivin welcomed attendees, including Mayor Isabelle Louis and Deputy Gaultier Seguin. Former member Daniel Besnier reviewed the club's half-century of leadership, noting that the association has seen 11 different presidents since its inception.

Founded with 22 members, the club grew to 80 members by its 25th anniversary. Affiliated with the French Bridge Federation, the club currently operates out of the La Lande associative hub and offers free introductory and advanced courses. Tournaments are held on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
