Bridgerton production advances with season 6 writing underway

Production for the Netflix series ‘Bridgerton’ is advancing on multiple fronts. While filming for season 5 is currently underway in the United Kingdom, scriptwriting for season 6 has already officially commenced.

Season 5 is expected to focus on the character Francesca, with a projected release in 2027. Regarding the cast, actress Nicola Coughlan, who portrays Penelope Featherington, noted in a recent interview that her role will be more secondary in the upcoming season compared to her prominence in season 4.

Development for season 6 is being handled by showrunner Jess Brownell and a writing team. The upcoming storylines are expected to draw from Julia Quinn’s novels, with Eloise’s narrative arc anticipated to be a central focus in future installments.
