BridgeSmile raises 819 million yen in Series A funding
BridgeSmile, a company specializing in post-sale installation and construction services, has raised 819 million yen in a Series A funding round. The investment was secured through third-party allotment from several investors, including Kanpo NEXT Partners, Mobile Internet Capital, PARTNERS FUND, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, and Aflac Ventures Japan.
The company provides a platform that automates the analog processes involved in product installation, such as scheduling, technician dispatch, quality control, and customer communication. By integrating with EC sites and physical retail systems, customers can book installation services at the time of purchase. BridgeSmile utilizes an ‘AI dispatch engine’ to assign tasks based on technician skills and location, which has reportedly increased operational productivity sixfold compared to traditional methods.
The newly raised capital will be used to advance the development of their ‘installation industry-specific OS’ through AI and system enhancements, develop a ‘super app’ for technicians that includes features like same-day payment and micro-financing, and strengthen the company’s organizational and recruitment structures.
