Bridgestone launches Battlax Adventure A42 motorcycle tire

Bridgestone has introduced the Battlax Adventure A42, a new motorcycle tire specifically designed for adventure riders who primarily operate on paved surfaces. The tire is intended for a variety of uses, including urban commuting, highway travel, and long-distance touring.

According to internal testing, the A42 offers significant improvements over its predecessor, the Battlax Adventure A41. The company reports an 18% increase in front tire wear life and a 25% increase in rear tire wear life. Additionally, the new model features a 14% reduction in tire slip during straight-line acceleration on wet roads and a 15% reduction in noise levels.

The A42 utilizes new rubber compounds and updated tread designs, including Pulse Groove technology to improve water drainage. The tire is scheduled for a global rollout beginning January 1, 2027, with more sizes expected to be released in 2028.
