Bridgeton driver arrested after striking police and fire vehicles
A 46-year-old Bridgeton man, Cesar Ordonez Torres, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after striking multiple emergency vehicles in New Jersey.
According to Bridgeton Police, the incident occurred while officers were investigating a separate pedestrian accident. Torres reportedly struck a marked police vehicle and then accelerated toward several officers at the scene. He subsequently collided with a Bridgeton Fire Department fire truck before coming to a stop.
Following the collision, Torres allegedly told officers that he ‘didn’t care what just happened.’ He admitted to consuming alcohol and was charged with DWI. He has since been released pending court proceedings.
