Bridgewater Woman Killed in Somerset County Crash; Driver Arrested

A fatal two‑vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Route 202 and First Avenue in Raritan Borough, Somerset County, New Jersey, early Monday morning. A Genesis SUV entered the intersection and struck the driver’s side of an Acura SUV, killing the woman from Bridgewater who was seated in the Acura.

The driver of the Genesis fled the scene on foot but was later captured by Raritan Borough Police and taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald’s office has not released the drivers’ names or any charges and is seeking witnesses to assist the ongoing investigation, which is being handled by the county Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and other agencies.
