Briela Cirilo leaves Corazón Serrano after three years

Singer Briela Cirilo has announced her departure from the cumbia sanjuanera group Corazón Serrano after three years with the ensemble. The announcement was made during her final performance with the group in Trujillo this past weekend.

During the concert, Cirilo expressed gratitude to the Guerrero Neira family, her bandmates, musicians, technical staff, and fans. She stated, “Thank you to the Guerrero Neira family for giving me the opportunity and also for allowing me to fulfill a dream, which has been to be on great stages with people I will never forget.”

While the official reason for her departure has not been confirmed, social media speculation suggests either the expiration of her contract or potential plans to move to Spain to pursue new projects.
