Brighite Granados' US Visa Removal Sparks PAN Skepticism in Chihuahua
State PAN president Daniela Álvarez held a press conference in Chihuahua to dispute Brighite Granados' claim that U.S. authorities withdrew her visa because of a ten‑year‑old traffic fine. Álvarez highlighted inconsistencies in Granados' statements and noted that no precedent exists for a visa being cancelled for a minor traffic violation.
Álvarez suggested the visa removal might be politically motivated, pointing to Granados' ties with former governor Javier Corral, senator Juan Carlos Loera and senator Andrea Chávez, who are linked by critics to the criminal group known as “La Barredora.” Meanwhile, the Morena state executive committee also confirmed the visa was taken for a traffic fine, though Granados said she was unaware of the fine. The dispute underscores political friction surrounding the case in the state of Chihuahua.
