Brighton extends Diego Gomez contract until 2031
Brighton & Hove Albion has officially extended the contract of Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez for five years. The new agreement will keep the 23-year-old player at the club until July 2031.
Brighton's Sporting Director, Mike Cave, described Gomez as a vital player who adapted quickly to the English Premier League. The club's decision follows Gomez's impressive performance last season, where he appeared in 56 matches across all competitions and scored ten goals.
Gomez previously developed at the Libertad academy in Paraguay before moving to Inter Miami in Major League Soccer. His performance in the United States led to his transfer to Brighton in January 2025.
