Brighton & Hove Albion targets silverware after strong season start

Brighton & Hove Albion has enjoyed a strong start to the 2026-27 season, currently sitting third in the Premier League with ten points. The club has also progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup following a 3-2 comeback victory against Manchester United and secured a place in the UEFA Conference League league phase.

Club owner Tony Bloom expressed optimism regarding the team's potential to win a major trophy, noting that while financial advantages favor larger clubs, “anything is possible” in a single season. Bloom cited Leicester City’s previous success as inspiration for the club's ambitions.

Player Olivier Boscagli noted that while the team has shown strong character, there is a need for more consistency to fulfill their potential and secure European qualification. He highlighted the importance of maintaining defensive discipline and avoiding easy goals conceded during matches against Chelsea and Leeds.
