Brighton negotiating €27 million deal for Chema Andrés
Brighton & Hove Albion is advancing talks to sign 21-year-old Spanish defensive midfielder Chema Andrés from VfB Stuttgart for approximately €27 million. The deal follows a period of significant investment by the English club, which has spent roughly €191.5 million on new talent during this transfer window.
Real Madrid is set to benefit significantly from the transaction. Having sold Andrés to Stuttgart last summer for €5 million, the club retained a 50 percent sell-on clause. Consequently, Real Madrid is expected to receive approximately €11.5 million from the Brighton move.
Andrés, a product of the Real Madrid academy, has gained notable experience in the Bundesliga and the Europa League. Brighton's pursuit of the midfielder comes as they look to bolster their defensive midfield options following injuries and recent departures within the squad.
