Brighton police find no criminality in deaths of three sisters

Sussex Police have concluded their investigation into the deaths of three sisters—Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31—who drowned in the sea off Brighton's Black Rock on 13 May. Authorities stated there is no evidence of criminality or third-party involvement in the incident.

Police records show the women were dropped off by a taxi in Madeira Drive at approximately 22:20 BST on 12 May. Investigators found no evidence that the sisters visited local nightclubs or businesses prior to their deaths. A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death for all three women was drowning.

Family members noted that the sisters had visited the lake where their mother drowned 16 years ago just two days before the tragedy. An inquest is scheduled for next month to establish the specific circumstances regarding how and when the deaths occurred.
