Brigjen Naek Pamen Simanjuntak appointed deputy police chief of North Sumatra

Brigadier General Naek Pamen Simanjuntak was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the North Sumatra Regional Police (Wakapolda Sumatra Utara) by Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The appointment, recorded in a telegram dated 30 July 2026, replaces Brigadier General Sonny Irawan, who has been reassigned to lead the Police Staff and Mid‑Level Leadership School (Kasespimmen).

Before the promotion, Naek headed the Police Internal Affairs (Propam) Bureau since 2024 and has a long career in internal supervision, discipline enforcement, and regional police command, including posts as district chief in Jambi and chief of Propam divisions in Riau, Kalimantan Timur and other units. His extensive experience is expected to support police operations across North Sumatra.
