Brijuni National Park holds roundtable on marine protection
Representatives from various Croatian government institutions held a roundtable discussion at Brijuni National Park to improve coordination and efficiency in protecting the park's marine area from illegal fishing and other unauthorized activities.
Participants included officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Finance, the State Inspectorate, the Pula County Port Authority, the Pula Port Captaincy, the Istria Police Administration, and the Croatian Coast Guard. The meeting focused on addressing challenges in seabed protection and exploring ways to enhance field surveillance and response.
Acting Director of Brijuni National Park, Mladen Ćoza, emphasized that such meetings allow for different perspectives on field challenges and the development of concrete solutions. The participating agencies agreed to continue cooperation within their respective legal mandates to preserve the natural values of the marine space.
