Brăila County Council accused of discriminatory fund allocation

Members of the PNL party in Brăila County are accusing the Brăila County Council leadership of discriminatory practices regarding the allocation of public funds. Local officials claim that recent association projects, which involve allocations ranging from 314,000 to 800,000 lei each, have been directed exclusively toward municipalities led by the PSD party.

Andrei Petrică, the mayor of Grădiștea, stated that there has been a lack of transparency and no clear regulatory framework or guide provided to allow for fair competition between localities. He further alleged that PNL-led administrative units received 500,000 lei less during the initial budget approval at the beginning of the year, and now appear to be excluded from these new county-level associations.
