Brăila to host International Theater and Performing Arts Festival in 2026

The International Festival of Theater and Performing Arts is scheduled to take place in Brăila from September 18 to October 4, 2026. Hosted at the Maria Filotti Theater, the event will feature a diverse selection of theatrical productions from across the country and from across the Prut river.

Key highlights of the program include 'Recviemul unui tipograf' by Sever Bârzan, performed by the Jean Bart Theater from Tulcea, and the festival closing production, 'Domnule și Frate Eminescu', a poetry and theater recital by Constantin Chiriac from Sibiu. The festival also includes discussion sessions allowing the public to interact directly with directors and actors.
