BRILink Agent facilitates social aid access in South Kalimantan

A BRILink Agent in Jelapat 2 Village, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan, has significantly improved local economic activity and access to government social assistance. The agent, owned by an individual named Ijay, provides essential banking services to thousands of beneficiary families in a region where the nearest bank branches and ATMs were previously located 10 to 15 kilometers away.

Starting in 2015 as a small mobile credit stall, the business expanded with the help of BRI’s People’s Business Credit (KUR). The agency now reduces transportation costs and long queues for local residents, particularly for transactions under Rp1 million. Beyond facilitating social aid distribution, the business has created local employment and serves various needs, including wage withdrawals for workers in the local plywood industry.
