Regional weather updates: Storm warnings in Spain and improved water levels in Mexico
Various regions are experiencing significant meteorological shifts. In Spain, AEMET has issued a yellow warning for Albacete due to expected rain and strong storms, particularly in La Mancha, the Alcaraz and Segura mountains, and the Hellín and Almansa regions. Meanwhile, Alicante is facing instability with high precipitation probabilities and a drop in temperatures.
In Mexico, the Monclova-Frontera Intermunicipal Water and Sanitation System (SIMAS) reported improved water supply stability and better aquifer levels compared to previous years, attributing this to recent rainfall. However, service interruptions were noted due to electrical failures affecting pumping equipment.
In Costa Rica, a warm morning is expected to give way to intense afternoon rains and thunderstorms across several regions, including the Central Valley, Northern Zone, and Caribbean areas, driven by the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
