Brindisi FC defeats Fidelis Andria 1-0 in Serie D derby

Brindisi FC secured its first victory of the Serie D season with a 1-0 win against Fidelis Andria at the Stadio Franco Fanuzzi. The decisive goal was scored in the 22nd minute by Franco Sosa, following a rebound from a shot by Carretta.

The match was heavily influenced by the performance of Fidelis Andria goalkeeper Lopez Salgado, who received a direct red card in the first half for a foul on Carretta. Despite playing with a numerical advantage, Brindisi struggled to increase their lead in the second half, as the team's intensity decreased.

Following the match, Brindisi manager Taurino expressed satisfaction with the three points but criticized his players for technical errors and a lack of clinical finishing during the second half. This result provides a recovery for Brindisi after their 4-1 loss in the season opener, while Fidelis Andria suffers its second consecutive defeat.
