Brindisi launches urban initiative to reduce traffic and promote culture
The Municipality of Brindisi has launched ‘Brindisi CambiaPasso’, an initiative scheduled for October 18, October 25, and November 8, 2026. The program aims to transform the city center by temporarily reducing vehicular traffic to encourage a different use of public spaces.
During these three Sundays, the city center will host various cultural activities, music, and shows. The initiative includes free access to municipal monuments and visits to the Nuovo Teatro Verdi. To support the reduction of private car use, the city will enhance public transport, provide boat services, and promote shared mobility options.
This project is part of broader urban innovation efforts, including the European PARSMO and ADRINCLUSIVE projects, which focus on sustainable mobility and accessibility.
