Brindisi leads European PARSMO project on shared mobility
The Municipality of Brindisi participated in the third international meeting of the European PARSMO project (Parking Policies for Shared Mobility) held in Kalamata, Greece. Funded by the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 program, the project aims to manage public parking spaces to encourage shared mobility services, such as car sharing and micromobility, thereby reducing reliance on private vehicles.
Brindisi serves as the lead municipality for a partnership that includes institutions from Belgium, Sweden, Serbia, Greece, and Poland. During the meeting, partners reviewed progress in their respective territories, shared results from a joint mobility demand survey, and selected four new European best practices for further study. The project, which began in 2025 and is scheduled to continue until 2028, also involves developing technical documents, including a framework for shared mobility parking policies and a comparative analysis of partner territories.
