Brindisi Prefecture signs crime prevention pact with ABI and Poste Italiane

The Prefecture of Brindisi has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the Italian Banking Association (ABI) and Poste Italiane to prevent crime targeting banks, post offices, and their customers. The agreement incorporates recent Ministry of the Interior guidelines to strengthen cooperation between public institutions and the private sector.

By introducing new analysis and coordination tools, the protocol aims to elevate local prevention efforts against criminal activities. Prefect Guido Aprea noted that the update is necessary to address evolving security needs and judicial evidence revealing significant interests of organized crime in these sectors. Prosecutor Giuseppe Capoccia emphasized the importance of effective information sharing for investigative purposes to protect citizens from increasingly insidious criminal actions.
