Brindisi school establishes Observatory of Legality and Active Citizenship

The Istituto Comprensivo Bozzano-Centro in Brindisi has established the Observatory of Legality and Active Citizenship. This permanent body aims to promote student wellbeing, prevent youth distress, and strengthen the dialogue between schools, families, institutions, and the local community.

The initiative aligns with ministerial guidelines for civic education, specifically targeting the prevention of bullying, cyberbullying, and all forms of violence and discrimination. The Observatory is composed of a diverse group of professionals, including school director Marialuisa Pastorelli, magistrate Antonio De Donno, and various legal, pedagogical, and geopolitical experts.

Activities will focus on four primary areas, including listening to and identifying student needs to foster inclusive relationships, as well as the prevention of gender-based violence.
