Brisbane 2032 organisers consider proposed Logan baseball stadium

Organisers for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games have expressed openness to a proposed $156 million baseball and softball stadium in Logan, though the project currently lacks guaranteed funding.

A pre-feasibility report presented to the Logan City Council detailed a plan for a privately built facility on land owned by Griffith University. The stadium is designed with an initial capacity of 4,000 seats, which could be expanded to 10,000 for the Games. While interest from both domestic and international investors has been noted, David Radich, Logan City Council's general manager for city planning, economic and community development, stated that no private funding has been secured yet.

Brisbane 2032 organising committee president Andrew Liveris noted that the committee is still assessing various sports and venues as the sports program and Venue Master Plan are being developed. He indicated that nothing is being ruled in or out until the official sports roster is confirmed.
