Brisbane cruise offerings and terminal information
Brisbane serves as a major embarkation point for cruises targeting the South Pacific and the Great Barrier Reef. Travelers can access itineraries heading north toward the reef or south toward New South Wales, with longer voyages reaching destinations such as Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea.
Several major cruise lines operate from the city. Carnival Cruise Line maintains a strong presence with the Carnival Encounter sailing year-round and the Carnival Luminosa joining for portions of the year. Royal Caribbean is scheduled to homeport the Quantum of the Seas in Brisbane for the 2026–27 season, and Princess Cruises also operates selected sailings from the region.
All major cruises depart from the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) located at Pinkenba, approximately 20 kilometres from the CBD. The terminal is situated roughly 15–20 minutes from Brisbane Airport by car, providing convenient access for international and interstate passengers.
