Brisbane Heat signs Orla Prendergast and Tim Robinson

Brisbane Heat has announced two significant international signings for their upcoming cricket campaigns. In the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL 12), the club has signed Irish all-rounder Orla Prendergast. Prendergast, a pace bowler and middle-order batter, becomes the first Irish recruit in the club’s history. She brings extensive international experience, having been named to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament twice.

For the men’s Big Bash League (BBL 16), the Heat has secured New Zealand batter Tim Robinson. The 24-year-old has 31 T20I appearances for the Black Caps and recently recorded one of the highest individual scores in Super Smash history. Coach James Hopes described Robinson as a rising star with excellent power and fielding abilities.
