Brisbane Lions players eye Danny Daly as potential successor to Chris Fagan
Brisbane Lions players have identified football manager Danny Daly as a potential successor should head coach Chris Fagan decide not to fulfill the final year of his contract. Fagan, who is preparing to coach his fourth consecutive Grand Final against Fremantle, is expected to reassess his future once the current AFL season concludes.
Lions chairman Andrew Wellington stated that contract discussions will not occur during the finals series, noting that Fagan will reassess his position when ready.
Danny Daly, who has been with the club since 2015, has received significant praise from players for his leadership and influence. Despite interest from several other AFL clubs, Daly has remained with the Lions, where he has served as football manager since 2020.
