Brisbane Powerhouse precinct to host relocated Augathella Spiegeltent

The Augathella Spiegeltent is relocating from Wynnum to the Brisbane Powerhouse precinct in New Farm. The move follows the decision by sponsors BMD Group to reclaim their Bay Terrace site for development.

Wynnum Fringe chief executive Tom Oliver noted that the relocation addresses significant logistical challenges, including high power costs that previously limited the venue to operating only six weeks per year. The new location will provide permanent connections to mains power, dressing rooms, and toilets.

The venue is expected to welcome its first audiences during the Brisbane Writers’ Festival from October 8-11. The site, formerly the Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema, will be co-programmed by Brisbane Powerhouse and Tom Oliver Productions.
