Brisbane Roar sign former Premier League midfielder Tyrese Francois

Brisbane Roar have announced the signing of midfielder Tyrese Francois on a multi-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 A-League season. The 26-year-old returns to Australia after a career playing in Europe and England.

Francois rose through the Fulham academy and made his Premier League debut with the club between 2021 and 2022. His professional experience includes loan spells with HNK Gorica in Croatia and Vejle Boldklub in Denmark, as well as a recent stint with Wigan Athletic in England’s League One. He has also represented Australia at the U23 international level.

Brisbane Roar Sporting Director James Gow stated that the club is pleased to acquire a player of Francois’s quality, noting his technical ability and the immense experience he gained while playing abroad.
