Brisbane Roar signs Postolachi and Francois to rebuild club

Brisbane Roar is undergoing a rebuild with new signings Virgiliu Postolachi and Tyrese Francois aiming to return the club to its former championship status. The 26-year-old Moldovian striker, Postolachi, brings experience from elite European football, having developed within the Paris Saint-Germain system alongside players such as Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

Postolachi’s career has also included stints at Lille in France, as well as clubs in Belgium and Romania. The Brisbane Roar, a three-time A-League winner, has struggled to reach the finals since the 2020-21 season. The club is looking to move past a difficult recent period marked by a single win in 14 matches following the transfer of defender Lucas Herrington.
